Biography
Dr. Onn Akbar Ali is a Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist and Associate Professor, widely respected for his contributions to advancing cardiac care and health education in Malaysia. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Adelaide, Australia, where he also trained and practiced in cardiology before returning to Malaysia to establish and lead one of the nation’s most recognized cardiac services.
For over a decade, Dr. Onn has led the cardiac services at KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital, where he continues to provide advanced interventional care while guiding the growth of cardiovascular services in the region. Alongside his clinical practice, he has also played a key role in academic medicine, mentoring the next generation of doctors and sharing his expertise through teaching and research.
